Southeast Colorado Corner - Tristate Marker For CO, KS and OK
The Southeast Corner of Colorado If you know your geography, you are aware Colorado is shaped like a rectangle with four 90-degree corners.
Have you ever wondered about those spots? On this page are my photos of the
southeast corner, where Colorado meets with Kansas and Oklahoma. Oh yes, it is a grand spot. :)
My left foot in southwest Kansas, my right foot in southeast Colorado. How about that?
In our age of smartphones, do you really need directions? One peculiar aspect of this tristate marker is it tough to access directly from Colorado. The easiest way is to reach Elkhart, Kansas, and then work your way back west
on State Line Road. One could also take Farm Road N0550 Rd. in Oklahoma which is a north-south route.
SECOND PHOTO: It's the isolated plains on State Line Road. To the left was Oklahoma, to the right was Kansas.
No matter what the state, it is awful and desolate. :o)
