Hays Creek Falls - Near Redstone, Colorado

Friends and I were traveled from Redstone to McClure Pass,
when we spotted a very pleasant surprise.
Only two miles south of Redstone on Colorado State
Highway 133 is Hays Creek Falls, a beautiful waterfall no more than 100 feet off the highway. Talk about a short hike!

Many of my photos, taken in 2006 and 2007, don't show
the depth and size of the waterfall, and so I had my friend Scott stand out there. Great photo of Hays Creek Falls!

Red sandstone rock surround the waterfall.
And just to give you an idea of how close the waterfall is,
I was standing across Highway 133 when I snapped the adjacent photo.
