(Photos at High Point Inside Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO) - March 11, 2007
It was Sunday morning and I was on my way back
to Buena Vista after spending the weekend with friends in
Colorado Springs.
Before leaving town, I make the quick drive up Ridge Road to "High Point" in
Garden of the Gods to take some pictures.
The adjacent photo is my humble but
faithful Honda with large orange rocks beside the road.
Two photos at the parking lot.
The great view is facing west.
The top photo includes Pikes Peak (the largest snow-covered mountain),
Cameron Cone (left) and Garden of the Gods' signature orange rocks in the
foreground. The second photo is a closer view that includes Pikes Peak and the
Manitou Incline's line up the side of the mountain.
At the overlook are quite a few odd-shaped rocks that provide very scenic views.
The view facing the north.
