Snow in Chaffee County, Colorado - April 13-14, 2014

Colorado is blessed with a lot of snow ...
Winter does not die easily in Colorado's mountains, and that's what makes this place so great! It may be spring on the calendar, but we're still getting hit with snowstorm after snowstorm in Chaffee County. These are photos from April 13-14, 2014. If you love snow, be sure to view my images from last weekend's snowfall, when the mountains were hammered around Vail Pass and Fremont Pass.

On Sunday morning, I traveled west on Chaffee County Road 306 to the Denny Creek Trailhead. At the time, there were only a few snow flurries lazily coming down.

Here's a shot with Rainbow Lake nestled below.

Then, by the evening, it began to snow like crazy all over northern Chaffee County. I worked out at my gym in Buena Vista, and upon driving home, these three photos show the snowy road.

The next morning, our valley was really ding-dang pretty.

Mount Princeton (first) and Mount Yale (second) didn't look too shabby either.

Wheel With Ice My last photo was taken when my car was parked in Salida. Nature became artistic with the snow and ice on my car's wheel. :)

    Not too shabby at all.
